The children arrive at 9.15am. They can hang their coats on their named hooks while their parents can check out the notice board for news, forthcoming events and recent photographs.
Children are registered on entry and parents can share any information with the staff.
Children can self select from a range of child and adult led activities which cover all areas of the Early Years Foundation Stage. The emphasis is always on learning through play.

From about 10.15 we come together as a whole group for songs and rhymes …
… and to call the register
SNACK TIME
At snack time the children are encourage to find their name on the table and help each other to share out the cups and snack. They learn to clean their hands with “magic” soap and to pour their own drinks. They are given a choice of milk or water to drink and a healthy snack option.
OUTDOOR PLAY
The children use a variety of physical equipment to improve their co-ordination and control.
We are really pleased with our new canopy, courtesy of a grant from LCC and installed by the lovely gentlemen from UK Canopies.
We can now play out whatever the weather and our new accessible storage unit let the children pick what they want to get out.
We take the opportunity to do more focussed activities in small groups. We can focus on individual progress in literacy and numeracy skills.
STORY TIME
Story time is a very important part of the day. We come together as a whole group. Children can lose themselves in a book or story before they go home.
HOME TIME
Children collect any artwork they want to take home and ......
..... staff can share information with parents.
